Tom’s First Buck

Just wanted to share my father in law’s first buck with everyone. Today we opted for a blind and a crossbow and it worked out perfectly. We got into the blind a little before 3:00PM and at 3:30PM this buck followed a doe to 10 yards in front of us, allowing Tom to place a perfect heart shot. Tom and I have practiced the shot over and over, simulating an actual hunt each time. We set a blind in the yard and shoot at a deer target set at different ranges and angles, it has built his confidence greatly. I am so happy to have been a part of the fun today. Tom has taken two other deer, one doe with a gun last year and a doe with crossbow last month. Tomorrow morning we are headed to the taxidermist!!!
