Take a Kid Hunting

I took my 6 year old son Jared hunting last night and we had a great time.  He harvested his first deer and was more excited than I can put into words (so was I!). We hunted from a Double Bull blind (www.primos.com) a soybean field just outside a woods.  He used an Excalibur crossbow (www.excaliburcrossbow.com) tipped with 100 grain Slick Trick broadheads (www.slicktrick.net) and made a super shot using a tripod and gun rest from Outdoorsmans  (www.outdoorsmans.com).  We practiced all summer and I can say this is a super accurate combo for youngsters who can’t draw a hunting weight bow yet and hunt in a state where crossbows are legal.
