A Monster Buck on Opening Day!

My good friend Tony had good luck on Kentucky’s Archery Season Opener (click here to read) and that good luck followed him across the river to Indiana.  On opening day there Tony took another beautiful buck that sports 18 scoreable points and has a green score right around 175″ NT.

What a way to open the Indiana archery season opener! This archery buck has 15 points and has a green score of 185″ – Congrats to the bowhunter!

Indiana’s Top Scoring 2007 Buck!

This incredible buck scores 238 2/8″, that’s the net score using the Boone & Crockett system.  This buck was taken last Nov. during Indiana’s firearm’s season .
This buck ranks #4 on Indiana’s Non-Typical all-time list.
You gotta love that 8″ drop tine and the brow tines are right at 10″ – great Non-Typical Buck!

I originally posted this story  back in 2000 – it is still one of my all-time favorite bucks – it has the mass, spread and length that every trophy hunter looks for.
This buck also made the Cover of North American Whitetail.  Congrats again to the deer hunter, Matt Miller.
