Super Cold Good Time To Harvest Deer

Much of the country has been hit by a severe cold spell as of late, and this is a great time to get that trophy that has eluded you, or fill the freezer. For the most part the rut is over in most of the country, and with bitter temps and in many locations, snow, […]

A Different kind of Deer Hunt!

I just returned from a fantastic hunt for an out of the ordinary whitetail. The small Coue’s whitetail lives in AZ, NM and Mexico, and weighs roughly 90 pounds. Though small in size, this deer is a real challenge, and a 110” B&C class Coue’s looks like he has lots of headgear. My first two […]

Here is the rest of my story…After taking the big 150″ 8 pointer, I went back to the same stand to shoot a doe. A few does came out about 200 yards out, and then I looked up and saw tines in the same spot where I spotted my buck the evening before. When he […]

IA Hunt Report – Big Buck Down!!!

Hola from southern Iowa…This was one hunt I was really looking forward to. I drew an Iowa first shotgun/muzzleloader season tag this year, and I was going to hunt with one of the deer hunters I respect most in the world, Bill Winke. Now Bill doesn’t do anything but hunt with his Hoyt bow anymore, but […]

BIG OKLAHOMA BUCK DOWN – FINALLY

I have been having a nightmare of a November. I have been sick with Swine Flu, hunted hard in Nebraska, and then hunted for almost a week in Kentucky, and did not score. That is whitetail hunting, right? It is the great equalizer. You can do it all right for a week or two when […]

LONG OVER DUE REPORT – NE, SASK, KS, TX

Sorry it has been so long since I checked in…I got back from Sask, and my wife and I got SWINE FLU!!! It was bad. Then I went to Nebraska for a 6 day bow hunt, but I was still sick with terrible viral bronchitis. The temps started out as record highs (82 degrees in […]

Son Scores on Nice KY Buck with Crossbow!!!

My twin boys’ birthday is Oct 17…On the 16th, I took my son Drew out to a local farm the Steve Hartley Outdoors (www.stevehartleyoutdoors.com ) operates on to try his hand at crossbow hunting for whitetail. Steve had been seeing some quality bucks there. We hunted from a ground blind at the edge of a field, and the […]

2nd TX Pronghorn Down – End to a great trip…

Yesterday I got to hunt pronghorn with my good friend Jason Gilbertson from Winchester Ammo. I had taken the big wide buck the day before, and we went looking for a beautiful buck we had seen that was nicknamed “Flair” because of his horn configuration. We found him and made multiple stalks. If things weren’t […]

A Couple Great Bucks from SD

My buddies Greg and Jeff Miller killed these 2 bucks in SD on the morning of Sept 28. Jeff’s big mulie goes 204, and Greg’s whitetail was a nice 5 1/2 year old. The caught both bucks on video for In Pursuit TV and Greg told me the footage was great. Just thought I would […]

Not seeing many bucks on my farm – this is the only decent buck I’ve gotten any pictures of.  With the season opener only a week away my chances of getting on a big buck early are looking pretty slim. This video was captured by the ScoutGuard camera listed below. [HTML1]

This is one of the bucks that I scored at the Lewis County Hunting Expo last Saturday. It has a typical 7×7 frame with 4 non-typical points and one unmatched point. This rack grosses an impressive 190” and even with over 20” of deductions still nets 167 7/8” Great buck!

World Class Six Pointer!

I have never seen a giant six pointer until a friend of mine, Ron Strauss an Official Scorer with P&Y and Wisconsin Bucks & Bears Club sent me this photo! The buck looks fairly symmetrical with no extra kickers that I can see. This amazing six-pointer scores 155 4/8” and I believe this buck was […]

Pulled this off AwesomeAntlers – wow, what a brute and it looks like the changes that the Penn Game & Fish Dept have made are really paying off in the quality of bucks being produced.
