Hunting World in awe
over the legendary Albia buck
Tony Lovstuen's with his
muzzleloader may have well taken the
largest ever scoring non-typical buck by a hunter. The
Boone & Crockett green score is
322 4/8.
According to conservation
officer
Randy McPherren, who also
assisted in the scoring of the deer's rack,
noted the antlers had eight
normal symmetrical tines and 30 abnormal tines.
The buck was killed on Sept. 29th
by the 15 year old hunter. The buck was recovered the
following day with the assistance of the State's DNR who
were on site.
