I'd like to clarify a few details about the monster buck in Michigan story. It was not found in a back yard but on a small plot of land in Lenawee County by a friend while out walking her dog. This picture was taken in my barn, but the three people pictured have nothing to do with this deer. The cause of death is unknown, but does not appear to be from old age. After viewing the jaw bone and teeth, we believe this deer is younger than the rack leads you to believe. Probably 4-1/2 to 5-1/2. The DNR is doing a complete ageing analysis. The gross green score is 257.2 (net 247.4) and will be re-scored by a panel after the 60-day drying period.
