Larry Marcum submits the following pictures and story behind the trophy buck his son Michael got in Kentucky.

“This buck was taken on the first day of gun season here in Wayne county, Kentucky. We had seen this buck for 3 to 4 years on the other land that we hunted. We lost that place to hunt and leased some land close by and planted food plots and put out feeders. About two weeks before season we got a trail camera picture of this big deer.

I told Michael that is was the ten point that we hunted in 2008 on the other farm. I had passed on him in ’07 because we knew there was a 190 class around. Michael actually harvested this buck that first evening of gun season.

It has been green scored at 173″ and it weighed 197 pounds field dressed. I also have the sheds off him in the spring of 08 along with hundreds of trail camera shots. Michael harvested the deer of his dreams but it was a year later, all is well that ends well. This buck put on a lot of mass at 5 1/2 years old. Thanks and may GOD bless. “
