Magnus BuzzCut Broadhead Review

Today’s product is the 125 grain 4 blade BuzzCut Broadhead made by Magnus out of Great Bend Kansas.

Product Description:

The BuzzCut is a cut on contact, chisel point, stainless steel broadhead that has a serrated blade and comes in 85,100 and 125 grain sizes. Also, this broadhead comes as a two or four blade model. Today’s model that I am reviewing is the 125 grain 4 blade.

Thoughts and Comments:

Ouch….the first thing you will notice is these broadheads are shaving sharp right out of the pack and the serrated edge sure make these things look wicked. As with all the Stinger broadheads, the blades are replaceable or can be sharpened, and I have always liked the cut on contact design. The chisel point is a great addition to keep the tip from curling on impact with hard bone. Stainless steel blades and being made in America are also a plus.

The people at Magnus claim that these broadheads will fly as well, or better, than any mechanical head. Guess what…I put them to the test and they were right!!!! These heads flew perfectly from my bow out to the forty yards I had room to shoot them. They grouped like field tips and I wrecked an arrow on the first round…..impressive!!!! Also, the penetration was spectacular!!! I have always liked this design in a broadhead and I am positive that these BuzzCuts will be in my quiver this fall. I will give you a full report on their performance after I crush a big whitetail with them…I am sure they will not let me down!!!

Finally, as always Magnus broadheads come with a lifetime guarantee.

  • Super sharp.
  • Cut on contact design.
  • Super strong.
  • Large cutting diameter.
  • Great flight even out of the fastest bows.
  • Stainless steel.
  • Serrated main blade.
  • Blades can be replaced or resharpened.
  • Lifetime replacement guarantee.

  • If you are one of those bowhunters that need to shoot the newest and most advertised broadhead design on the market, then maybe this is not the broadhead for you. I, on the other hand, would rather put game down quickly with a complete bone crushing pass through. This is the type of broadhead that is tried and true and will get the job done.

Without a doubt 10 out of 10!!

  1. This Broadhead is the best I have ever used in my 17 years of Bow-Hunting. I have two bucks on this website that scored P&Y, 186 3/8″ Kansas Monster and a 135 1/8″ Maryland 10 pointer that were shot with the same Magnus Buzzcut 125 grain. These broadheads are the best out there. Neither deer ran over 40 yards before takin a dirt nap. Special thanks to Magnus Broadheads for helping me with 2 Bucks of a lifetime.

used these broadheads on a texas exotic hunt last month. this was my first time using the buzz cut. awsome broadhead. 25 yard shot on a ram , complete past through the first animal and sunk to the fletchings on a 2nd ram 3 yards behind the first. recovered both animals. this was not done on purpose. just one of those things that happen. anyway, this broadhead will be in my quiver this fall, and for many more to come.
