Total score 25 with a blade sharpness
ratting of B
This is the head by which I judge
all other broadheads. It has in my opinion all the qualities that make
up a great head.
Accuracy is very good, and these heads have flown the same as my field
points out of every well tuned bow I have tried them with.
In the 3/4" plywood, they busted through without any damage, going
through about 1/2 way up the shaft. In the tire, they penetrated the
first side, with several inches of the shaft, again no damaged. In the
steel drum it went through the first side, with the tip and the front
part of the blades sticking through the backside, again no damage at
all. I have found that ALL Muzzy heads have perform similar to these,
regardless of number of blades or cutting diameter, and they are all
fine choices for just about anyone. They are also the most convenient
replaceable blade brodhead I have tried. Once you put them together they
stay together, and their are no O-rings or locking collars to fool with.
The only complaint one may have could be the blade sharpness. They will
shave hair right out of the pack, but not as easy as The Rocky Mt or New
Archery products heads I have tested. I still consider them plenty sharp
for hunting, and Muzzy is now working on making them sharper than ever.
You won't go wrong using any of the heads Muzzy makes, in my opinion
anyway.
Please note as more
test information becomes available, it will be updated and posted. Make
sure you check back periodically to see if the head you're
curious about shows up on the measuring tape. If you’re interested in
donating a head for testing, email

Bows and Arrows forum and see 5shot. Thank you and enjoy.
