The Savora Champion is and excellent 3 blade broadhead.  It is very accurate, strong, and the blades are very sharp out of the package. You don’t see many Savora heads around my part of the country anymore, but that doesn’t change the fact that they are still very good broadheads.

The Champion weighs 125 grains, has three replaceable blades and a chisel tip. The blades are held in place by sliding under the tip as well as at the rear of the ferule. It also uses a third means of securing the blades, a wire collar in the center of the ferule. The blades lock into this collar making for a very secure blade retention system.

I found the Champion to be very accurate, grouping with my field points when shot out of a properly tuned bow. In the plywood test the head penetrated completely without damage. In the tire test it also penetrated the first side completely without damage. In the steel drum it penetrated the first side fully, with the tip and 1/3 of the blade surface sticking out the back. Overall I think this is an excellent broadhead. It has great accuracy and performance. I have also used them on game and can tell you that they work super when you place the shot properly. I hunted with them for several years, and switched to another head mostly because they were getting hard to find in my part of the country. I still see adds for them from time to time, and I consider them one of the best broadheads on the market, provided you can find them and get replacement blades.

Please note as more test information becomes available, it will be updated and posted.  Make sure you check back periodically to see if the head you're curious about shows up on the measuring tape.  If you’re interested in donating a head for testing, email ckfitch3@aol.com or visit Huntingforums.com, Bows and Arrows forum and see 5shot.  Thank you and enjoy.  Return to the Main BroadHead Test Page.
