Rocky Mountian Premier 100 grain http://www.rockymtbroadheads.com/
Total score 24 with a blade sharpness rating of A+ The Rocky Premier is pretty typical style replaceable blade broadhead. It has an aluminum ferule and stainless steel blades. I found the blades to be super sharp, and of excellent quality. In the accuracy testing the head preformed very well. Flight was consistent and the broadheads impacted right with my field points, keep in mind my bow is well tuned and most quality heads group with or very close to my field points. In the Plywood test the head completely penetrated the wood with no damage to the blades or ferule. In the tire the head got through one side without damage. The steel drum test went pretty well. The head penetrated the first side and the tip was sticking in the far wall. One blade did fall out, while the other two stayed put. I shot the head again into the steel drum, using an aluminum arrow.(remember, the test arrows are ICS type carbons). This time the broadhead held on to all three blades. If you are going to shoot the premiers on carbon arrows I would recommend using UBAR’s to help the head hold onto the blades. If your shooting aluminum you should be fine without them. All in all the Rocky Premier is a very good broadhead. They are accurate, well made and have some of the sharpest blades you will find on any head. Please note as more test information becomes available, it will be updated and posted. Make sure you check back periodically to see if the head you're curious about shows up on the measuring tape.
