The Bone buster is a one piece, fixed blade broadhead. It has two main blades and two small bleeder blades. The overall construction is very solid, and the head is pretty compact.
I found the accuracy to be very good, the bone buster shot into nice small groups and very close to my field points. In the plywood the head busted on through with no problems. In the tire it penetrated the first side along with several inches of arrow shaft. In the steel drum the Bone Buster punched through the first side with the tip sticking in the far wall.
The overall performance of this head is excellent, but it does have a problem. The blade sharpness out of the package is poor. Normally this is not a big a deal as you can sharpen most heads of this style without to much trouble. The Bone Buster however is another story. I used several methods to try and get a good edge on this head without success. I tried everything I had and could never get even close to getting a good edge. To be fair Bone Buster does make a special sharpener for their heads, but I did not have one to try. If you can find a way to get a good sharp edge on this broadhead it would make an excellent compact broadhead. It is the highest scoring fixed blade head that I have tested to date, but without sharp blades I wouldn’t even consider using it.
