I’ve been hunting since I was a kid and love it just as much now as I did then. I’m honored and excited to work with Tim, Joe and Dan on American-Hunter.com. This site has a large following of great hunters all across North America and we want to keep making it better! So keep sending us your pictures and stories!jtandmuley

I’ve been fortunate to hunt many states and provinces over the years. In planning my trips I found little information specific to hunting trips and travel, and there was no way for serious hunters to network and share experiences with each other. Lots of other hunters have told me the same thing. I decided to fix this problem and in 2009 launched NextHunt.com.  We recently added another site to our network, Hunting Information Systems in May 2010, check it out at Huntinfo.com

Whitetail Contributor

Joe Brooks

Joe Brooks lives in northwest Ohio and has been chasing whitetails along the Michigan-Ohio border for the past thirty years with hundreds of deer to his credit. Joe specializes in hunting  giant whitetails in high pressure areas close to populated and hard-hunted suburban America. He is the author of a best selling deer hunting book titled “YEAR-ROUND TROPHY WHITETAILS”, which you can find at www.manvswhitetail.com .

Joe Brooks worked as a power company lineman for twenty years and for the past ten years at Cabela’s in Dundee Michigan. He has a degree in Wildlife Management, owns his own publishing company, started a clothing line called TOADWEAR, and is a leasing agent in Ohio and Michigan for Base Camp Leasing (www.basecampleasing.com).

When he is not hunting monster bucks he does  seminars on whitetails, consulting on whitetail management for landowners and hunters, or is working for great causes like Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry. Joe is on pro-staff for Raven Wear, PSE Archery and Scentote.

Joe says “None of this would be possible without the support of my beautiful wife Pat. She gives me great latitude to spend the time chasing those elusive trophy whitetails, with never a complaint about the many hours I spend in a tree stand or helping others.” With that being said, what Joe enjoys most is when he can teach someone even just one little tactic that can help that person take his or her first, or next, giant whitetail buck.

Dan Jackson

I have been posting and sharing stories and photos of Monster Bucks on the internet since 1998.  In 2000 I started the Big Buck Contest at Jim Strader’s Hunting & Fishing Expo – at the time it was Kentuckiana’s only Buck Contest and today it is the largest Big Buck Contest in the region.  Every fall I join Jim Strader on his weekly Outdoors Program to showcase Monster Bucks that have been taken in North America, we have featured bucks from youths all the way to State Record Bucks.

I am also an Official Scorer for Boone & Crockett, Pope & Young and the Bluegrass Bucks and Bulls Club.

Thanks for reading this site.
