Well, we’ve completed the first night with the big buck contest at the Jim Strader Hunting & Fishing Expo. Although it seemed the Friday night entries were down from previous years we still scored a good number of deer. As always there were some deer taken this year that we hadn’t heard about that showed up to enter the contest. Several typical bucks in the low 170’s.

I look for Saturday to be very busy, more so than in years past.

Also, the Irvin Buck from Owen County came a day early and is on display - nice full body mount.

You really need to see this deer in person, it’s a one of a kind buck for sure.
